About The Webinar

The introduction of open-source solutions into the eLearning ecosystem was a boon in many ways. The ability for consumers to access code has given rise to a marketplace of ideas, a community that can come together in the name of innovation to help drive product advancement, ultimately allowing technology to evolve at a faster rate and giving consumers more freedom regarding functionality, flexibility, and ownership.

To understand the modern corporate learning ecosystem, it’s important to understand the impact that open technologies have had in the marketplace over the years as well as how they continue to drive the market forward. In this session, we’ll look at the Moodle & Totara Learning Management Systems, respectively the world’s most widely used LMS and the leading open enterprise solution.

In this webinar, we'll explore:

  • How open-source Moodle is able to remain a free product with the help of its global partner network
  • How Totara differs from Moodle, including the specific features tailored for the corporate sector
  • Trends in the eLearning market that are encouraging organizations to move from closed-source to open-source solutions
  • What’s going on in the open-source community, including the roadmaps for the futures of Moodle & Totara and everything else you need to know to be up-to-date
  • The importance of open source to a sustainable and interoperable learning ecosystem
